Descaling a remeha plate heat exchanger

I replaced a scaled up heat exchanger and now the new one has scaled up again after 2 years. I have tried to descale the old one with Fernox DS3 with some success. I noticed that the CHW side does not scale up and was wandering if the heat exchanger can to turned round so the DHW uses the CHW part of the heat exchanger? I have now fitted a BWT filter inline to try and prevent this happening.
