Descaling heat exchanger plate on an Ideal Response Combi

oh that horrible turd. apologies, i forgot about it. did anyone actually buy one?

remember the OP said response 80 in his first post. probably a safe bet it's a normal ( ) response.

I have never been called to one of those and as I have been to three Gem boilers, Trisaves and some Corvec Miniflames that means that either I have been very lucky or they must be very rare ( thank goodness ).

How many were sold? More to the point how many still survive in use?

Tony

Only ever had to look after one Response SE....it lasted 3 years

The owner finally had enough after the primary heat exchanger rotted out at the top. By that time it had a new vessel, diverter, and numerous leaks fixed, also an intermittent fault on the boards.

Did they use the Minimiser primary HE ?

Or was it unique to that model?

i just checked, the h/e looks the same in the pics, can't be arsed cross reffing the part numbers though.
