DESPERATE HELP NEEDED!

And invest some time learning how lighting circuits work, in getting and learning to use a multimeter - that way it won't all be such a mystery in the first place.

The first diagram here: //www.diynot.com/wiki/electrics:lighting-circuit-layouts for example, builds up in stages starting with a circuit which loops from one rose to the next, and adding switches and lights to show why you end up with so many wires there and why blacks/blues aren't always neutrals...

And always better to start early in the day if you're not 100% with what you are doing/changing.

Thank-You to those who tried to help! I think I'll stick to retail management!

But I'm pretty confident that tommrow I'll be able to change sockets and switches, who knows!
