Well, my father has decided to start his own handi-crafts busines at the ripe old age of 55!

Which is really cool, he's wanting to build a detached garage/ come shed come workshop, on the side of his house to operate his business in.

I'm a trainee sparky (you get what he wants from me), and I don't know what the score is with the local building authority, i.e. what do I need to advise him about building regs, planning permission, etc, etc

If anyone out there can help I'd really appreciatte it. Thanks in Advance

Make sure it's a temporary structure, (shed) less than 12' high, and it's for his personal persuits (isn't it!) Then who cares. After a lot of years, providing no one complains, they can't stop him continuing.

afraid to say but it has to be a brick structure, probalbly the size of a double garage.
Anyone help
Thanks in advance

In that case the advice is speak to your local council, they are the people who will approve or reject it.
