Hi all I've just recently bought a dewalt 18v cordless circular saw, only thing is i noticed that the riving knife doesn't line up exactly with the saw blade and I always thought they were supposed too. It's only out by a couple of mm so I can probably bend it to a little to line up but I don't want to do that unless its not meant to be that way, any advice??

Cheers

should always line up if it dosnt it can cause the blade to cut the wood on the down stroke

if your using a batton or fence can also cause binding as the riving knife gets forced into the mismached slot

both can labour the motor and cause poor performance
