DHL?

Well, I sure was close with my guess of a 1988 Corolla Sedan!
Hopefully your car has a 1998cc motor rather than a 10 litre beast James......hoping you get a good result after this unnecessary stress.
John :)

Is the radiator the exact match as the existing one? Always a worry when its come from so far.
Good luck with your motor.

Yes. The garage owner spoke to me and he was over the moon about it. Said it is an exact match, brand new and very high quality. Exactly as he ordered and he is very pleased.

Excellent!
I guess this radiator must have been one classed as ‘new, old stock’.
A brilliant find!
John :)

I suspect this radiator is the plastic tanked and crimped core variety which means that a repair is somewhat more specialised.....but possible.
John :)
they’re not difficult to repair if you have a decent seal and have several clamps or grips to clench them evenly.

I’ve had great results in the past with large organisations by emailing the top person in the U.K. telling them how annoyed you are and that as you are up near their office next week, you will be calling in to discuss the matter with them personally. That’s the last thing they want, an annoyed member of the public calling in unannounced and they immediately get one of their underlings to sort your problem pretty damn quick.
Thanks for this. It worked a treat

I feel very stupid but cannot turn on the ignition.

The key is in the lock position and the instructions say wiggle the steering wheel but the key won't budge.

Help!!

Otherwise, the car has had a major service and a major paint job. The need for a major welding job has been found underneath and is going in for that this week.

I love the car.

Thanks all for help.

Have you a spare key you can try, James? This fault usually happens when the key (and lock) is worn so if you haven't a spare, try the key in the other way, wiggle away and hopefully you'll get lucky.
Wiggling the wheel also has the effect of taking the load of the steering lock, where it engages into the steering column.
John :)

I have two keys but they are newly cut Toyota keys and it is suggested that the seller had them cut to sell the car and they were cut from a worn key.

My trusted repair garage is going to try to get me a barrel but it bit like getting the radiator.

A classic car repairer did the welding.

Only the key left to do now.

Thanks for help

Apparently if you or someone disassembles the passenger side lock then the 5 digit key code should be marked on the barrel. You should be able to get new keys cut using this.

of course if the ignition barrel is worn too, then there's always the risk they won't work well / at all.
