Is it ok / possible to fit a Hot water cylinder using flexible fittings for some / all of the connections?

Not really thought about it to be honest, just wondering if it is an option for the DIY-er that might not get rigid pipe work spot on...

I'm thinking that perhaps the rigid pipework maybe provides some kind of slight stabalising assistance to the tank, whereas flexi wouldn't. Otherwise I can't immediately see a reason against it...

Thanks for your thoughts :)

I can't think of any standard flexi that's rated for the temperature needed on the flow & return to/from the cylinder. The restrictive bore would also not be acceptable. The pipework shouldn''t be providing any stabilising effect at all - if the cyllinder isn't stable then there's a problem!
