Did I get the paint right?

Bathroom ceiling was flaking, so stripped it back to plaster

The applied zinsser gardz to stabilise surface

Then applied

1. Mist coat
2. Zinsser bin
3. Zinsser Perma white (two coats)

Is this the correct method? Should this be the end of said flakey paint?

I think you getting rid of the flakey paint would have solved the flakey paint problem. The fact you've done all the other stuff can only help. It sounds like the original paint was just a basic Matt which can be quite chalky anyway. I don't think you'll have any problems now!
