It was very much a case of Wilder's anti-Islam nationalist party switching to another nationalist party, kind of like UKIP switching to the Brexit Party.
The Senate in Netherlands do not run the Government, the Senate can only approve laws or reject them. FvD still only command 13% of the Senate.
The election was Netherlands wide but not for the important parts of the government.
Mark Rutte is still PM in Netherlands.
The video overplays the role of the FvD.

Also, if I understand what he is talking about, he says they got 86 seats in the Senate. There are only 75 and they actually got 12; the same number as another party.

The percentage of the vote was roughly the same as UKIP in 2015.

Also the voter turn out for a parliamentary election is in the 80's %.
The turn out for the provincial elections, as this one was, was in the 50's%

I'm NOT surprised that this is not widely known. You will not hear anti-immigration or anti-islam news in the mainstream media, it is simply not allowed. All power to this fellow whoever he is.

Despite being a closes Fascist traffic warden i agree with you

Is is so wrong that it cannot be debated, its wrong to try and ignore the elephant in the room. I spent a fair bit of time living in other countries and have first hand experience of this as an expat. I've had this conversation a few times in many countries abroad in my time, whilst we don't mind you here, you are doing a great job, it's our fault we don't have the skillset for your position, however we are keen you respect our traditions our ways our beliefs and integrate with our way of life. Never ever once did i have the thought of racism or anti anything. I completely understood and respected their ways and opinions, i understood at times what i thought was odd behaviour was just how they also thought my behaviour odd at times, although i do have the benefit of not believing in a BS book of stories used to manipulate the masses and pray on the vulnerable at their times of need, which is an added factor here..yes Religion.
