I have a Peugeot Hdi 2.0 and have just serviced it (changed the oil/filter air filter, fuel filter) but in the servicing schedule it refers to bleeding the fuel filter of any water.

Can anybody tell me how this is done?

Thanks.

Connect a tube to the drain spigot at the bottom of the filter housing, then loosen the drain cock. Most are just a plastic knurled wheel type. Drain into a container until (if you're lucky)clean fuel emerges. If no fuel emerges you will need to slacken the vent screw, which may subsequently require system to be bled.

However, as you have replaced the fuel filter you shouldn't have to do any of these things.

Ahh I wondered if that's all it was, drained that before I replaced the fuel filter and fuel came out straight away. That's why I was unsure if I'd done it right?, considering the fuel filter hadn't been replaced for some 30-40k miles!!

Thanks for you help.
