Obviousely one is heavier, though the 3.5 is pretty much double the price of a 2.3mm. Just wondering what are the advantages of a 3.5mm over a 2.3mm and if it makes a huge difference? cheers

It may not flex as much but I can't see how it would hold the heat better. Steel is not an insulator.

cheers guys, would the 2.3 be ok? would it flex as much once secured in the space? will fit tightly aghainst two walls.

I'd have thought it depends if you share a bath or shower. Being eco friendly, saving water and all that...

More weight in the bath needs thicker bath walls.

What is the cost difference ?

Quality steel baths are made from a single sheet of steel pressed into shape so will retain rigidness. The finished stated thickness will include a sprayed on enamel coating which is then baked on.

To provide a more robust surface finish, luxury appearance, easy clean better heat retention etc more coats of enamel are used. Some high street hotel chains use these baths.

Kaldewei make decent steel baths from budget to luxury :)

Kaldewei are a popular brand but can't vouch for the ebay seller!

Steel Baths can be repaired with enamel kits.
They are colder to lay back in during winter so just be aware of that.
