Diffuser for lift lamp.

I need to replace a cracked plastic diffuser on a lamp in a lift.

It is non-standard and I want to know where I can get a piece of diffuser - type plastic cut to size.

The lamp is a twin 18w T8 fluorescent recessed into the lift ceiling and the diffuser is a simple flat piece of thin plastic held flush to the ceiling by an aluminium frame. The diffuser is about 700 mm by 250mm.

Obviously I don't want to just buy a sheet of plastic from B&Q (or similar) and cut it myself, as it might not be of the correct thermal rating.

Can I get cut-to-size diffuser plastic anywhere?

you might want to contact the lift manufacturers since it's very likely bespoke to suit their lifts..

Eh its a T8 fluorescent lamp, how hot do you things its gonna get?

But contacting the lift people would be a good idea.

If it is white opal then It is quite often polycarbonate.
Are you anywhere near london.

You can buy diffuser sheets at any wholesalers.

They come in 600x600 and 600x1200 sheets.

Ask for a 'recessed modular diffuser'
