Can anyone offer any advice here? I've partially rewired the lightiing circuit in my house. I've added a couple of new ceiling lights, one two way switchable, the other one way only. The two way works fine. The one way I am trying to put on a dimmer.
Question: if the dimmer has a minimum value (60w here), and I have no lamp+fitting connected yet, will the dimmer be damaged when I energise the lighting circuit and activate the dimmer? I suspect not as this would happen every time the lamp is changed.
