Dimmable leds bit dimming!

Very curious; I've just posted a reply to this post

IE

and then casually clicked on the link in my reply to see which dimmer had been used and arrived at

whereas clicking on enz's original I get to

I get the sorry-not-sorry message for both appearances of the link.

If they both do the same light then only one of them can be a dimmer.
I'm sure varilight dimmers can be bought in main/helper pairs so the helper switch tells the main switch to do the dimming and hence dimming control is available at either switch

led lights to dim!
OP, you may find dimming your LED to be an unsatisfactory experience; most LEDs just reduce their light output when dimmed so everything is the same colour, just not as bright which ends up making everything look somewhat pallid.
Incandescent bulbs become a warmer(Redder) temperature as they dim which gives rise to a different ambience. If you find overall that you don't like the light when you dim your bulbs then you may wish to seek out some led bulbs that are designed to change colour as they dim - see eg Megaman Dim To Warm or Philips WarmGlow

have 14 in my room, will that still work?
The total wattage is around the minimum for your dimmer, but you may wish to try a dimmer that is selectable between trailing edge and leading edge and see if either setting improves your success

Hi all, Just another quick question from me, does anyone know if this dimmer https://www.toolstation.com/search?q=80365 would work with the led's in the picture?
Would have 8 led's in the room!

Thanks again

I get 1760015422206.png clicking the link, but cut-and-paste works. As to will X dimmer work with Y bulbs, only one way to find out. Likely it will, but I gave up with dimmer switches in the 90s when CFL came out.

Sorry check if this link works
