Hello,

I have a one way switch, and am wondering if it is possible to install a dimmer switch to a light which has three g9 40w 240v osram bulbs in it ?

The bulbs go say that they can be dimmed, but do I need a particular switch ?

Over to you !
Thanks in advance.
Dave

I bought a light similar and have a dimmer attached but decided to install some 25w bulbs instead of the normal 40w as we normally have the lights dimmed low and rarely need then to be that bright

Thanks for the replies.

So i can just purchase any dimmer switch as long is its over 250 watts ?

Cheers
Dave

Don't buy one massively over rated for you what you require, as many dimmers have a minimum required load

Just clicked on a link on this website to dimmers, and all the dimmers shown were 1 x 120w (as below)

1 x 120W 2 Way Push-on/off 1-6 DigiFlux Dimmer White Plastic.

I'm looking for one 250w and above....... anyone know where I can obtain one ??
