Dimmer Switches

Hi can anyone tell me if you can use a 2 way switch 1 way? I have a 3 gang 2 way dimmer switch that I want to use in the lounge to operate 2 ceiling lights (independently 2) and a pair of wall lights(1). But there will be just the one switch. Can this be done?

(I won't actually be wiring it myself - my electrician is away for awhile)

Not a problem using a 2 way dimmer for 1 way lighting.
