Very basic stuff - I need to have a dual socket outlet in the same room as the fuse box is located. I can't add a spur to the ring main as the nearest socket is through a 3 foot thick stone wall, can I just connect it straight to fuse box and if so how?
It is perfectly within the regs to wire the spur from the origin of the ring, ie the terminals in the CU from which the ring eminate.
Quote from OSG:
"Such a spur is connected to a circuit at the terminals of sockets outlets or at junction boxes or at the origin of the circuit in the dist board." (CU)
