Dirty tricks to look out for???

Anobium, It wasn't the ducting that was the issue, it was removing roof tiles then properly installing a roof vent and flashing it in. It was time they were trying to save. You've obviously never worked with a partnering contractor who's guaranteed work for five years. Personally I just don't like partnering contracts, they rarely work to produce cost savings and what you actually do is create a monopoly whereby the contractor knows he can get away with a lot more than he would in the real world.

On the contrary Softus, it would be a naive contractor who would be prepared to jepordise his relationship with a client on a major contract for the sake of a relatively small amount.
And yet they seem to go right ahead and ignore your advice.

In my experience it is the small one man bands who try and pull flankers.
Maybe they do, but so do Laing, Barratt, and Fairview, to name but several.
