Unfortunately, the OP wants new carpets fitted so it needs to be out of the room unless they cut around it.
My daughters house when bought had quite nice hardwood flooring in the bedroom......except for the bit the bed had sat on.
OP make sure you have decent screwdrivers and use them carefully. Mullering screwheads won't help. (and I bet your bed isn't as heavy as the wretched thing I'm currently dragging about to get under different bits of floor!)
Originally it went in through the door, either whole or in bits, so it either fits back out through the door without dismantling it or it comes apart.
When we cleared my mother in laws house, we found that the carpet in the unused spare bedroom had been cut and fitted around a single bed! Luckily they had left the cut out piece in the wardrobe.

Yeah that is obvious, unfortunately doesn't help me though.
Coming apart isn't my main concern - I just have to keep unscrewing and I will find out what comes apart and what doesnt. The main question is - what is the risk of damage and risk of not getting it back together again.
Irrelevant if you want new carpets fitted - it has to be done unless you forgo having new carpets. Just go for it, it really won’t be hard. It wasn’t handcrafted and fitted on-site by a furniture master craftsman. Probably just assembled by a delivery driver with a screwdriver and a spanner.

It was actually made on site by a carpenter / veneer specialist.
They used the template of an existing bought bed but they remade it in walnut / walnut veneer. So it isn't flat pack and definitely no delivery driver went near it!

No, it was a good few years ago, I don't have their contact details anymore and they closed their business and moved to another country !
