disassembly Traditional Dual Exposed Thermostatic

Hello

The handle has snapped off our shower fitting similar to the one below

Could anybody let me know how to take it apart as I cannot work it out. Also is it possible to buy a new handle or does it need a completely new unit?

At the end of the handle, the chrome top should twist off, this is sometime a nut cap arrangement or spindle.
As far as the lever replacement is concerned, you would need to the make/model of the shower it maybe case that you need to purchase the whole "lever assembly"
