Following on from a post in plumbing forum.

I have recently purhased a flushing kit and done a few with no problems, Now gasandoilman has brought to my attention the need for a disclaimer whilst doing this work, could any of you chaps/chap'esses help with the wording of a disclaimer.

If any of you have one you could Email I would be very greatful, promice to follow copyright laws and make subtle changes :LOL: :LOL: ;)

Thanks all.

the item I have in my T&C to cover this is as follows:

Should the works include a Power Flush of the existing heating system, it must be pointed out that, whilst this treatment is generally harmless, depending on the condition of the existing components the process may find weaknesses in the system. Should any such problems be encountered then any rectification works required may be charged at extra cost.

All my quotes contain these disclaimers at the end in small print;

Any leaks occurring in heating system after flushing will be rectified but cost of such is NOT included in the above quote

Any floorboards, floor coverings or carpets etc. will be removed with care but no guarantee can be given that they will come up undamaged or of exact fitting when re-fitting.

No guarantee can be given that existing brickwork can be matched when filling existing flue holes in walls.

Any occurrence of asbestos will be reported but removal of such is not included in quote due to specialist licensed contractors being required for removal and disposal.

How does this sound.
Power flushing of existing systems. Because this process utilizes the use of chemicals the flushing process may find existing weaknesses in the system. The above Quote does NOT include costs of rectification of any leaks found during or after flushing.

don't be afraid to criticize :LOL:

I think you need to point out in 'rare cases' or its 'highly unlikely'. Just sayin.....
