Dishwasher has started tripping RCD

Hi,

Recently my dishwasher has started tripping the RCD in my consumer unit. The dishwasher is wired into a fused spur that is away from any possible source of water or risk of ingress. Are their any troubleshooting steps that I can take to help identify the source of the problem? I do notice that when I havent used it for a while, I get 2-3 cycles out of it before it trips again.

Most likely the heating element needs replacing.

Could be a wiring issue, but sounds more likely an internal component failure, such as the pump.

Test the resistance of the element with a multimeter.
