Sorry if I'm going over old ground but I've been trawling through previous posts for answer but haven't got lot time. Old dishwasher wired to fused switched above worktop, new dishwasher has plug on is it okay to cut plug off and hardwire cable to fused switched?

Yes - if you feel confident to do if safely.

Great, yes totally fine with doing that just wanted to check its ok to wire the flex direct. Thanks for quick reply.

Much better to fit a socket. Replace fused connection unit with a switch. Make future servicing and replacement easier.
