Hi,

I need to drill a hole in my water cistern for the cold feed to a shower pump. It would save me a lot of work if I could drill it fairly close to an existing outlet, around 3 inches away diagonally. Do you think this is ok, or will this weaken the tank - it's a poly tank...

As the existing outlets are fairly close to the bottom of the tank, I will drill the new one a bit higher and use this for the cylinder feed, and use the old outlet for the cold shower feed.

Cheers Simon

No problem with that, Simon.....the tank fitting flange will be much stronger than the plastic itself.
Its a good move to ensure that the pipes from the tank don't stress the tank walls by allowing them to position naturally as you connect up.
