Our plumber installed our current diverter valve ten months ago but it is now not moving to put the heating on. It was bought from an online plumbing supplier Our previous diverter valves lasted 8 years or so. Have we been unlucky?

Thank you

If it is actually the valve it will be under warranty, they come with a 12 month warranty but you will have to pay to get it swapped out

The water is heating only?, if you request HW & heating and ensure both cylinder stat & roomstat are calling for heat does it work and move to mid position and supply both?, if you request heating only is the roomstat calling for heat as well?

When I put it to water heating only then and turn it off then it will not heat water for the central heating when I demand that later. I then have to move the switch on the valve to enable the central heating. I very rarely demand both CH and HW together.

When you say switch do you mean the lever?, you might just try it on both CH&HW, if it works then, it may point to somewhere else that we might be able to point out.

Drayton MA1

Thank you
Drayton are usually ok imo, and should last. What I have noticed with Drayton valves (usually the ZA5 though) is the screw that holds the motor (from factory btw) isn’t screwed down enough, if this is ok, then you could just be unlucky, but as stated will be under warranty.
