I've just dug out my garden to build a shed from scratch.

shed will be approx 7x7 ft.
I am going to lay a concrete base and have had a thought.

Can i use 9ft concrete posts (2 foot sunk in and concreted) and then lay base down so the top 7ft of the post appear to be sat on the concrete slab.

I was then planning to attach 2x2 battens to the posts, bolting them to each other through the holes that are in the concrete posts and then building the wooden sides off these battens.

the alternative is to lay my concrete base and then use wooden posts bolted to the concrete using the square bracket supports you can get cheap.

plan a is obviously more permamnent and plan b would give me the ability to change the shed in future and repair.

thoughts please.
