Can you get any light switch sockets and electric sockets in a polish chrome which don’t show finger prints or so they all suffer the same fate?

also what does it mean by single and double pole sockets?

All polished surfaces show fingerprints.
Options - never touch them, wear gloves, clean them often or buy some other type of finish.

Single pole - switches L only.
Double pole - switches L&N
Makes no difference to anything as for isolation the plug can be removed.

Thanks. Could elaborate a little more on where single and double pole might have done practical uses? Could it help for example, with smart homes where I’ve installed a lot of neutral wiring in lighting circuits etc?

Double pole generally used for isolation. Particularly where both live and neutral conductors must be disconnected. Examples: heating systems, boilers.

single pole generally for functional switching. Example: light switch.
