My house is being extended and renovated and will be going through the usual building regulation control checks. I know that all internal doors (except bathroom and toilets) need to have an FD30 rated doors. However, what about the door handles, hinges, locks and latches? A lot of these I see on websites such as https://www.premierdoorhandles.co.uk/ and https://www.internaldoors.co.uk/ and https://www.doorsuperstore.co.uk/ (other websites are the same) do not show fire rating on many of the handle options. If the website has a section for fire rated door handles, then the design options are extremely limited.

What exactly are the building reg rules for these items? And is there a good website that has a wide range of designs that are rated for the needed fire rating?

As far as i know the hinges and locks must be lined with intumescent strip.
There's no such thing as a fd30 lock and handle just someone trying to charge double for same thing.
Of course as long as they're not made of flammable material like soft plastic.

I haven't looked hard, but I have seen locks described as suitable for fire doors when used with intumescent pads. They are now also fitted behind hinges. You can sometimes buy kits ready-cut to size, or in the sheets to trim yourself.

You will find a wider range, and better prices, at

Also this lock, for example, says "60 minute fire rating"

though I am no expert on fire door standards

All mine have metal keyhole covers as well.

If you need fire doors you should only need FD20 doors in a house apart from an FD30S between the garage and habitable space this is also the only one that requires to be self closing. Fire doors are normally only required if they open onto a protected stair if you have a floor more than 4.5m above ground level, other doors should not require any fire resistance.
