Do I need an edging sander if there are no skirting boards?

Hi. I need to hire a floor sander. There are no skirting boards on at the moment so will I need an edging sander too, or will the floor sander get close enough? Thanks.

You will need an edging sander. The big drum sanders can't get tight up to the wall.
