Can anybody help....

I'm plastering just some (ex) door aperatures ( after removing the wood completely ) .

using the wire meash for all corners i've tried to afix using copper pins but without luck...

should I just use the plaster to bind the meash or do I need to fix it first ?

I'm worried about doing the overhead bits which are 6' long  :D

thanks

Are you just skimming onto Board or bonding out ? Use a bit of plaster dabed in spots, press the mesh into the spots, check for level and plumb then let it go off for a while before you plaster.

If you are skimming you need to use skim bead and NOT the mesh. You could even use drylining adhesive if you have a bit knocking about.

Thanks diyisfree.......most helpful advice :D

I am bonding in to already plastered stone walls.

cheers
