Katepal are a really good make of felt shingles. Easy enough to lay ,best thing is remove plastic from back and they stick to each other straight away. no problems with driving rain and wind. Not like others with a small strip of bitumen which melts to stick together. Katepal shingles entire lower half sticks.

cheers you"ve made me laugh this morning. 45mm is log thickness. it was actually 3.6mx3.6m.
