Do these look like traditional cement boards ?

Can anyone confirm that these look like traditional cement boards on my undercloak please as I’m trying to decide what to paint them with :



When I tap them, they almost sound like they could be made of metal but I’m not sure if metal was ever used

Asbestos cement by the looks of it

would you happen to know by chance if they are paintable with exterior masonry paint ?

Yes you can paint them, but be careful when prepping them for painting. Avoid dust, wear a mask and just lightly rub or brush the old paint.
