Document Q on extensions?

Hey guys.
Does doc Q apply to extensions?

The document says new dwellings, That combined with speaking to suppliers and other people I was sure it didn't but I was just speaking to a new supplier (one of the big ones) and they say it does apply. Anyone else confused on this?

There's no confusion, your new supplier is wrong, it only applies to new dwellings. Confirm with the building inspector who's signing it off Gaz.
As it stands it's only required on new dwellings but been told extensions will also be included at some point also.
We've done 3 new build jobs since Dec, both the architect and inspector said Doc Q wasn't needed, we've got another one where the ground works for another new build started before Doc Q came in, inspector says it would now be required, boils down to the inspector
