Dodgy Dimmer?

The shelves are built-in, it was be more of a faff to take the lighting out I think than just replacing the switch.

Managed to take out an on/off module from the kitchen - see pic. Popped it in the dining room switch and it works perfectly!!

The one in the kitchen controls low voltage under-cabinet lights. For safety’s sake is there any reason why I can’t use exactly the same module for ceiling lights please? The model number printed on the Deta module is G3502SCW.
