I recently did up a flat for a client which involved quite a lot of work. She employed a plumber who fit a new boiler in a cupboard which was also to house the washing machine, with the boiler above.
However after the boiler was put in the plumber clearly struggled to get the washing machine to fit so he jigsawed out a hole in the top of the washing machine with drum and mains exposed in order to accommodate the pipes under the boiler.
I told the client who then told the plumber but he was resolute in his conviction that this was acceptable.
Surely this is illegal but he maintains its ok (presumably to avoid re positioning the boiler)
He's also corgi registered which clearly means nothing.
The flat is now let out which makes me think it's even worse as its a rental property and presumably covered by insurance which could be invalid.
Am I being unfair to the plumber or is this a massive bodge job.
