Just wondering if a reasonably priced 'modern' remote keypad, wired alarm with internet connectivity / phone app and integrated GSM 'if all else fails' exists??

I've searched till green in the face!

£300-400 for premier 24kit and either com-gsm or IP-com just look in App Store for texecom

mmmm...
Texecom Premier Elite 24 Metal CAA-0004 ~£53
Premier LCD Keypad with Prox DBC-0001 ~£52
IP-Com CEJ-0001 ~£78
Com-GSM CEG-0001 ~£125
Apps

£308 + VAT £62 = ~£370 for Panel with Remote Keyprox, IP and GSM and App - not too bad actually

Compared with 'Flex FX020 £165 + IP+GSM Coms £234 = ~£399 mark' looks like they are all price watching each other!

I do prefer the Texecom keypad to the Honeywell actually

mmm but should be a kit now with those features for ~£200 in the days of more for less - in these Raspberry PI times :)
NewRaspberry Pi A+ £15.50 + VAT

Better buying a 24 kit .... 1 x 24 plastic 1 x lcd prox 1x comm2400 3 x pirs 5x prox fobs around £140 plus vat

I think the Texe keypad perhaps looks better, but the Honeywell is easier to use keypress wise. Everyone has their opinion on this stuff...

I had hoped for a flat capacitive tablet style surface mount keypad by now, but the UK based security market is several years behind in the technology front. The Galaxy touchcenter is at least a real LCD touchscreen, but it's huge and has a horrible resistive screen.

The American market seems to be advancing faster, but their panels are still horrible due to their own standards.

I'd missed Risco thanks for that.

Just had a look who they are - main holding company is http://electronics-line.com/

EL was established in 1982 and is headquartered in Israel. The Company is publicly traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (ELN) and is part of the RISCO Group, an established leader in the international security market.

Big international player with large portfolio
