Does a Spindle Moulder give a clean cut

If I have some MR MDF run through a spindle moulder to put a straight groove in it, would I expect it to look the same as doing it using a router?

i.e. would the edges be clean and free from chipping?

Providing that the spindle moulder has TCT tooling (like the router) you should get a better cut with the spindle than with a router.
