Does it matter which way round I connect an LED dimmable bulb?

Hi all,

I've 4 wall lights with these bulbs:
5 Watt G9 LED Bulb - 36x SMD5050
Warm White
Dimmable
G9/5050SMD/WWD

Wired to a dimmer switch

They were working fine, I took them off to paint the walls, and can't remember which way round to reconnect them (and who know where I put the piece of paper I wrote it down on!)
There are wire tails coming out of the back of the wall light - one black and one white
Does it matter which way round I connect these to the live and neutral connectors coming out of the wall?
If so, is it black or white which connects to live?

Black line and white neutral is probable, but as G9 lamps can be put in either way, the wiring doesn't matter either.

Makes a change to hear Led being dimmed fine.
Do the wall lights have SWITCHES on them

I listened very carefully to the very good electricians who did the wiring, and they supplied the dimmer unit.

Black is USA line colour so likely goes to our brown, and white is their neutral colour so likely goes to blue.
