Does the BG 330+ have a stainless steel heat exchanger?

BG say "yes", my plumber is looking at it and he says "no".

It is 9 years old and fed with softened water.....

If I remember rightly, the BG 330 is S/S the BG330+ is alloy.

Water softener is a useful item if your in a hard water area
