It is because when he has been proved wrong, he is too immature to admit it,so he gives long rambling answers using every means possible to wriggle, squirm, twist; any dishonest debating technique to avoid actually just saying he is wrong.

Answers often include such gems as: 'its more nuanced than that', or 'the distinction is blurred'.

It is extremely tedious.

He is also a thoroughly unpleasant character, Blightymam and Doggit got bored of it and left......its a shame that decent peopke leave but the idiot remains

Hmm.. Lots to go at here. But it has been a superb weekend with the neighbours etc. So I will reserve the right to stay silent... for now...... until after the weekend.
