Im considering fitting Air Conditioning to our front room and dining room, Preferably id like a split system as, from what I read they are the better system to go for in terms of efficiency and obviousley dont need large dia ducting to expel the warm air thorugh an open window etc etc.
However our front room has one outside wall, which is the big front window wall, and its on the front of the house so the external A/C unit would be unsightly and would not fit on the wall under the window anyway.
So id like to ask you A/C grurus if there is a max length of connector pipe between the two units, and im assuming that the longer the run the less efficient it would operate. Also can these connecting pipes be run under floorboards etc etc, basically so I can fit a wall mounted split system in my front room, and run the connecting pipes in the floor space to the outside unit that in my plan will sit/mount on the garage flat roof or mounted on the wall the roof is fixed to.
Are there any height issues between the two units, ie does one need to be mounted higher than the other etc etc.

You do know that by the time you ever fit any AC it will cool down! And then it will be dull for the next five summers! :p

Oh yes standard for me that, I bought into Betamax and BSB Squarial, ;)
