Dominic Cummings says UK always intended to ditch NI protocol

Just goes to show that when you stand up to the EU they start to crack.

What they've conceded so far sounds a lot, Macron is apparently unhappy, but what they're offering is simply how the protocol should have been carried out from day 1 rather than looking for English mud on tractor tyres.

80% less inspections is a starting point, no more. I have the utmost respect for Frosty.

where are the border posts?
The border posts may be gone but there are plenty of memorials to the soldiers and police personnel who died patrolling that border you say doesn't exist.

David Frost said:

“One group in NI does not give consent to the protocol”

Yes David, that’s the DUP, remember Johnson told them there would “unfettered access”

a memorial is not a border post.

can you point out where there are some border posts in use, doing checks

Jeez us

Common sense would dictate even
To remoaners

that there is some thing seriously wrong with an agreement we’re bye a country (uk) cannot trade sausages around its own country

the EU have agreed to get rid of 80% of the paper work

the french scoundrels were against it

no surprise there

The French are not having a good month :ROFLMAO:

issuing threats

one would think that the temoaner
Brigade in here would be happy that 80% of the red tape will go
In order to assist NI

but true to form they are not

they want maximum damage at any cost

;)

Ireland and the UK share the CTA historically, there never were any real border posts apart from some bloke in a shed.
There are now plenty of surveillance cameras that do the job of fixed border posts, there is also border force officials operating.

Fillyboy doesn’t understand the single market.

it’s a common problem for Brexit voters.

You have the most respect for someone who negotiated a deal that he is trying to wriggle out of.

oh and he is dishonest.

I have the utmost respect for a bloke who is standing up to the EU bullies who are trying to implement the protocol beyond the spirit in which it was intended.

It's like the fishing agreement, we've granted 98% of licences applied for based on the fact that French vessels who have historically fished within our waters will be granted an annual licence. 2% are unable to provide proof, they're are only two possible reasons for this:
1. They fished illegally without using their transponders and/or didn't keep a log book or records, both of which are illegal.
2. They never historically fished in our waters.

Look at the French reaction to that.

that there is some thing seriously wrong with an agreement we’re bye a country (uk) cannot trade sausages around its own country

The EU don’t have mutual recognition of chilled meats….because no 3rd country imports them to the SM.

Remainers were explaining this before the deal.

the EU offered a solution.

But hey, brexers keep blaming everybody else for their mess

The EU cannot be trusted, they offer to reduce 80 % of checks but the real problem is paper work, in return for their "concessions" they want fixed infrastructure manned by EU officials.
They also want to retain the authority of the ECJ.

“EU bullies”

How are they bullies?

the EU are protecting their interests, it’s what you voted for.

But you voted for paper work, that’s what you get when you leave the Single Market.

It seems it’s you who can’t be trusted, you don’t want what you voted for.
