Thinking of doing an archway to the kitchen instead of having a door.

When I fit the metal mesh corners, I was wondering what thickness of plastering I should be allowing for?

Thanks

Hi, wibble,
I'm a bit out of date with these things, having retired from the trade about 10 years ago,
but I used to leave the mesh about 10mm back from the finished surfaces.
spread bonding all over the exposed mesh, leave a day to dry (making sure the 'rough' is a few mm back from the final surface desired) and then skim with finish.
