Just a quick one, to see if anyne knows what's going on with this before I investigate further.
I have one doorbell, with two push buttons - One at the back, and one at the front door. It looks like a normal doorbell.
However, when I took the cover off, all of the batteries are missing (though there are holders for four 'C' batteries.
From the wall behind it come 5 thin wires (like bell wire, funnily enough).
Around the solenoid plunger thing are 4 screw terminals. Arranged as follows

Of the 5 wires, two go to terminal 1, two to 2, one to 3 and none to four.
Anyone ??
