Sorry, but I can't find a suitable home for this one. If it's not here, please let me know.

I've bought an old Victorian flat, and I'm looking for an authentic door chime. When we moved in, there was a chime on the wall that was similar to this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-R...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

The chime was made by Friedland but was old, covered in dust & dirt, loose connections and a couple of missing parts. I don't know if this was the original chime, or one that was added later. I've looked on the Friedland site, now part of Honeywell, but can't find it on there...I guess it's discontinued.

So, I guess I'm looking for suggestions on a suitable, authentic door chime...if such a thing exists.

Many thanks

That's not authentic Victorian.

Victorians would have used a bell pull system with wires and cranks connected to a springy bell like this

If you must have an electric bell then you can get an electric 'shaker' to tug the wire for you

or Byron do a fake one in oak effect plastic
