Hello,
We purchased a flat in London a few years ago. Little did we know that our door knobs would be such a pain.
We have door knobs in solid glass that are quite heavy, fitted with a tiny screw/plug. Sometimes the glass knob itself falls off. Sometimes the whole "handle" (sorry, don't know the word for it) comes off with it. So far 4 of our 8 door knobs have come off and only weeks ago I got locked in a room and couldn't get out. I tried to fit the glass knob back on the metal plate with glue meant for glass and metal, but they came off again after a few months.
How can I fit it back? What glue would serve for this purpose? Any recommendations (links)? Are this kind of door knobs normal??
Pictures added in a post further down.
Thanks for helping
