Hi All,

Does it make much difference if the plastering is carried out before or after the door liner/frame is installed on a new wall?

I plan to fit the liner before plastering, leaving an edge proud of the wall by the depth of the final plaster finish. Is this the normal/best way to do things?

Thanks
Mark

I always plaster after door lining fitted which make life easier for plastering.

Me Too. Fit the liner then plaster. If you do it the otherway there is a good chance that the wall will be above or below the level of the liner and then the architrave will look naff and you will have to muck about with compound mitres to get it to join correctly..
