I have a door lining which has an outer width of 820mm can anyone tell me the gap I should leave either side to the studwork?

Thanks
Victor

You generally aim for 5 to 10mm on each side - that allows for the studwork to be a wee bit out

Thanks for that. It's a wide opening in brick which has been plastered which is not straight so I'm trying to get get the studwork and lining all square. It used to be a back door before an extension was built years before I bought bungalow.
