door opens inwards what way for strip?

Hi my door opens inwards as seen on pic, which way down does the strip go down into the groove for the door to close against it from inside?

Cant believe I cant understand this one haha

is it this way 1 or this way 2?

The curved bit should be facing inwards i.e. towards the house when looking from the outside.
 
The ribbed part goes into the threshold groove and the curve faces inwards so the bottom of the door engages with it when closed, thus creating the seal :)

ok so attached is right then the curve is inside the room and flat edge is outside...so the door shuts onto the curve not flat side.?
