I have a heated towel rail behind a door, a standard door stop isn't quite long enough off the skirting to stop the door handle knocking the chrome...

Any ideas to avoid having to do a floor mounted door stop? I'm dreading the idea of drilling the tiles and would prefer a different option.

Yes a really good sharp masonry bit and going gentle is all that is required. Practice on a spare/old tile. A good bit will go through like a knife through butter.

I have the same situation. Some time ago, we saw an old cast iron iron in a junk shop which I bought and has been used as a door prop for a couple of years now. Actually, it looks quite nice.
(I must make an effort to fit a proper door stop!)
